Lukaku joins Turkish side Fenerbahce from Napoli
Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has joined Fenerbahce, the Turkish Super Lig club announced on Wednesday.
Fenerbahce did not specify the length of the 33-year-old Belgian's contract, nor his transfer fee.
"It's an honour and a privilege to be joining your club and to join this club," Lukaku said in a video on social media addressed to Fenerbahce's fans.
"I'm fit, 100 percent, ready to go."
Lukaku, who has previously played for Chelsea, Manchester United and Inter Milan in a glittering but injury-plagued career, is Belgium's all-time leading scorer with 93 goals.
He signed for Napoli in the summer of 2024, but after a debut season that brought Scudetto glory, he suffered an injury and fell out with the club's management last season, managing just 64 minutes of playing time.
He, nonetheless, was included in Belgium's squad for the 2026 World Cup, netting three times as his country reached the quarter-finals before losing to eventual winners Spain.
His arrival at the Istanbul-based club boosts further their attacking arsenal after the signing of former Man United winger Mason Greenwood.
Fenerbahce, who have finished runners-up to bitter rivals Galatasaray for the last four seasons, are without a Turkish league title since 2014.
