Neo Wealth and Asset Management, operating as the Neo Group, announced on Friday the launch of Neo Mutual Fund, marking its formal entry into the mutual fund sector. The new fund house plans to initially offer schemes across liquid, arbitrage, diversified equity, and multi-asset allocation categories, pending final regulatory approvals.

To support these operations, the group has recruited approximately 10 experienced fund managers. According to the company, these professionals have collectively managed assets exceeding ₹2 lakh crore in their previous roles. The group outlined plans to establish a physical presence in more than 25 locations across India. It aims to construct a nationwide distribution network through partnerships with mutual fund distributors, independent financial advisors, banks, and wealth managers.

The company stated that its immediate priority is strengthening investment capabilities, building credibility, and developing these distribution channels, noting there is no short-term target for assets under management (AUM). As of September 30, 2026, Neo Group managed approximately ₹1.46 lakh crore in total client assets across 'assets under advice' and 'assets under management' categories.

The launch occurs in a competitive landscape; data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India indicates that 57 mutual fund houses currently operate in the country, collectively managing over ₹87 lakh crore in assets as of September 2026.
